From STACK International Website (2004/10/17)

"Announcement concerning the World Sport Kite Championship 2005

David Gomberg WSKC Chair and AKA President has informed STACK that:
The next World Sport Kite Champions in 2005 will be held in the USA Northwest on the Pacific Coast. The WSKC is for teams only.

Dates of the event are tentatively planned for June 20-26, 2005 in Lincoln City, Oregon USA.

The plan is to provide travel funding ($500 per flier) and lodging for ten STACK teams and two AJSKA and AKA teams.

There will be an initial team limit of two-per-country - plus one alternate. They are planning to cap the flying heat at fifteen teams -- both for the health of the judges, and because of hotel space provided. Once they have completed the initial list, they will try to add additional teams from the alternate list to complete our final fifteen.

Third teams from any single country may be asked to pay their own travel. This is the standard used in Berck for the past few years.

They will also have travel and lodging for two STACK and AKA judges, and one from AJSKA.

This is all good news!!!! Next week, David Gomberg will get us details on the site.

If you have any questions, please let us know."

Tra le righe di quanto sopra:
"(...) There will be an initial team limit of two-per-country (...)")

Ciao.

"Hello Graziano,

I can say this much now.
There will be an absolute limit of 15 teams.
3 AKA
2 AJSKA
6 STACK (maybe a 7th) (the earlier stated 10 is incorrect).
The remaining 3 (maybe 4) go to countries like Argentina, Chile, Columbia and Malaysia.

I suspect for STACK, that their selections will only go to seriously competitive teams from both the 2003 and 2004 seasons combined.
I think this would mean, England, France and Germany will get to select 2 teams each as they were the only countries with competitive teams from both the 2003 and 2004 seasons combined.
IMPORTANT: This has not been decided by the SIEC at this time.

Specifically for Italy, please consult your STACK National Director Davide Bergen.

John"
