No, leggendo questa risposta dal forum GWTW, si può volare nel Parco della Statua della Libertà (LSP = Liberty State Park of course  )
"LSP is THE best place to fly in northern NJ. I live an hour and a half and it's worth the drive when the wind is right (less than 9 mph from anyplace in the south.) I get there every couple of weeks mostly during the week (I take a couple of hours off at the end of the day) or on a Friday when I have off.
I was there last week (Wednesday) and they were blowing new grass on the parts of the lawn that was torn up by the concert at the end of July.
I've met a few guys there this year and I've told others about it too. They guys I've talked to seem to fly there a lot on Sundays.
One thing I like about it is the fact that the wind is nice and smooth off the water and the grass is great to fly on. The down side is that there's a lot of geese and the souvenirs they leave behind.
I also like it in the winter. I used to think that temperatures in the 30s was cold but it really isn't.
I have quite a bag of kites if you're interested - R-Sky's(Team Next Up, NFX, Nirvana std), Transfers. We could meet up sometime and I'd be happy to let you try an OPK - Other People's Kite. If you're really interested we could talk about maybe letting something go. There not enough time to fly everything I've got as much as I'd like to. si, ma "NEL parco" della statua della libertà non vuol dire che puoi volare ai piedi... un articolo sul KAP apparso sull'ultimo numero di Kiting USA dice che (all'autore dell'articolo) è stato possibile scattare delle foto dai piedi della statua solamente perchè era stato autorizzato a fotografare dall'alto una gara di nuoto che passava proprio di li sotto e che appena passati i nuotatori è stato fatto allontanare...
Se fai caso alla foto con il REV vedi che ci sono degli alberi tra il luogo dello scatto e la statua, che tra l'altro sembra anche abbastanza lontana...
Paradossalmente è più facile volare nelle immediate vicinanze della Casa Bianca... vi ricordate l'annuncio in diretta di G.Bush dell'inizio della prima guerra del golfo con gli acro che volavano fuori della finestra alle sue spalle??
Il gruppo WOW (Wings Over Washington) è ufficialmente autorizzato a volare in quei luoghi...

Vabbè Giacomo, non si volerà ai piedi della statua, poi se ci sono gli alberi disturberebbero anche il vento, ma nelle immediate vicinanze si, come dimostra quest'altra foto e anche la risposta che ho allegato.
Comunque carlokiter potrà volare con lo sfondo della Statua della Libertà. Almeno così mi sembra a giudicare dalle immagini reperibili su webshot. Non so se ci vuole un permesso speciale anche per andare a volare su questo prato, ma se è un normale parco pubblico, il volo sarà libero basta non dare l'aquilone in testa a qualcuno
Ho dato un'occhiata con Google Earth: la Statua della Libertà è come noto su un'isola (piccola) ed è chiaro che lì non ti fanno andare a volare, ma il Liberty State Park è un parco pubblico sulla terraferma con vista sulla statua e li sono state fatte le foto.

Ebbene folks grazie a tutti per i Vostri consigli....
non mi resta che partire.....porto solo REVO, che sono corti 90 cm, dentro ad un tubo da idraulico da 15 di diametro.
Oggi vado in un emporio e lo compero.
Seguo questo consiglio perchè qualcuno piu' esperto in fatto di viaggi ha suggerito questa soluzione.(Storgio?)
Dovrò imbarcare in stiva gli aqui perchè in cabina non sono ammessi.
Spero nel bel tempo meteo.L'ultima volta (l'anno scorso) ho vissuto mio malgrado bufera di vento e neve e freddo (tantissimo)
Per la trasferta spero che l'abbigliamento STACK (corporate image)sia pronto. Così Michela ed io ci infileremo.....le magliette per la fatidica foto.

A proposito AVETE VOTATO PER IL RINNOVO DELLE CARICHE DIRETTIVE DELLA STACK ?
